We love english muffins. They are delicious and so versatile (two of my favorite qualities) - good sweet with stuff like peanut butter and jams or salty/savory as egg sandwiches, our most common use. You can even stick them in the toaster oven with butter, garlic and cheese for tasty little garlic toasts or mini-pizzas.
We've tried others, but this is the recipe, from Allrecipes.com. If I haven't already said it, this website is a treasure trove of homemade goodness. You need to use some common cooking sense to sort out the amateur and duplicated recipes, but the good stuff you find will usually be really, really good.
(Our lovely Presto griddle was perfect for this.)
